ODIN meeting in Cork

ODIN team members got together on the 17th & 18th November, 2016 in Cork to discuss progress on ODIN workpackage 8 research on vitamin D and cardiovascular and other health outcomes in older adults.

EFSA set dietary reference values for vitamin D

The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has set Dietary Reference Values (DRVs) for vitamin D. EFSA defined an adequate intake (AI) of 15 µg per day for healthy individuals over one year of age. This includes pregnant and lactating women. The DRVs for infants aged 7-11 months have been set at 10 µg per day.
