About The University of Manchester:

The University of Manchester is the largest university in the UK and combines Europe's largest medical school with the highest ranking Computer Science department in England and has established several prestigious interdisciplinary research institutes, one of which is the Manchester Institute of Biotechnology. The NHS within a twenty mile radius of the University cares for three million people via ten primary healthcare organisations and five major secondary care hospitals. To coordinate this scale of research the NHS and University have formed Manchester Academic Health Sciences Centre (MAHSC), providing a unique integration of the health and life sciences with enabling science and technology, at the forefront of which is Health Informatics and eHealth. The University Hospital South Manchester is one of the founder members of MAHSC. This proposal brings together researchers based in the Faculties of Engineering and Physical Science (EPS) and mMedical and Human Sciences (FMHS) spanning the Institutes of Inflammation and Repair (II&R) and Population Health (IPH).
